HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED GOD'S FAVOR YET?
Favor is an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual.
Did you know that we don't have to do anything special to receive God's favor? Ephesians 2:8 tells us, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" (NKJV). Grace is favor. However, by the looks of things going on in the world everybody doesn't seem to have the favor of God even those that are Christians.
The funny thing is God does surround them with favor. They just don't know it, so they can't take advantage of something they don't know is there. According to 2 Peter 1:2, God's grace is multiplied to us through knowledge. The first thing you have to do before you can receive the benefits of God's favor is to know they are yours. Then, you have to receive them by faith. Remember what Ephesians 2:8 says, "God saved you by his grace ... "God's favor provides every possible blessing and goodness He has to give, starting with being saved. Your part is faith-to believe and receive all He has given.
I am still riding around with my training wheels on when it comes to receiving the full favor of God. I am not ashamed to say it. If I can be completely transparent it is because I haven't seen very many people actually receiving the full favor of God. For so many years in church I have read God's word and about all the promises he has made to us in his word. However, when it comes to those around me I haven't had very many examples of that. And as my grandmother use to always say,"A child does not follow what you teach as much as they follow what you do." So I've basically been seeking God like never before for him to teach me what it looks like to receive the fullness of his favor. Boy has this been a journey.
So, I am here to tell you that God's favor has already been given to us but, it is up to us to receive and claim it. How do I receive it and claim it Destiny? I thought you'd never ask. Start by fasting. Show God you are willing to make a sacrifice for him by turning over a plate or two. Then get in prayer, let your walls down and get vulnerable with God. Last but not least get in the word so the Lord can confirm for everything he has been saying.
