Are you being intentional about your time with God?

Intentional is done on purpose; deliberate


I remember saying, I know I need to spend more time with God and get in my word more but I am just to busy. He knows my heart is in the right place and he sees what is on my plate. That should be good enough.

This was until one day the same way I was treating God was being reciprocated on me from someone I loved. I was like you can't possibly be that busy. You are saying you are too busy to send a quick text back or find 10 or 15 minutes to ask me how my day is going or my life for that matter. I see you with your phone in your hand all the time!

And as clearly as I am speaking right now. I heard him say now you see how it feels. Destiny you can't possibly be that busy. Especially because you find the time for me when you are in a tough spot. Not only do you find time but you find hours, days and weeks then. I am your father the one that will never leave nor forsake you. How can you not have time for me because of the things I afforded you to have?

I began to bawl! He was sooo right. So even if I have to wake up earlier and sacrifice sleep for at least 15 to 20 mins minimal I spend intentiona time with my father. I learned quickly that when I made him priority as his word says to do, I had more clarity, peace and discernment.

So, I said all this to say don't be to busy for our father. Be intentional about giving him his time. How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot?
